To find a student in your gradebook, type their name, partial name, initials, or ID in the text box in the footer, then press Return or Enter on your keyboard. If more than one student matches, just press Return/Enter again to show the next match. This is convenient if you're entering make-up work for students in different periods.
You can also search for an email address, which will search parents/contacts too. This is useful if you sent email and some bounced back, so you can locate and correct the invalid email addresses.
Tip: Press the escape key as a shortcut to select the "Find Student" box. For example, to find Jon Doe, type [escape] jon d [enter]. |
